Here are a few questions I get asked quite a lot. If there’s something you’d like to know about any of my trips please feel free to use my Contact page.
Q: What is your favourite place you’ve been to so far?
A: Home will always be my favourite place as corny as it sounds. I don’t think I could pick one travel destination, each is so unique in its own way. I love tasting different food that is flavourful and live music so New Orleans will always be one of my favourites. I enjoyed my nights on Bourbon Street and on Sixth Street in Austin Texas. Other places I would definitely go back to would be Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand, Hoi An in Vietnam with its charming lanterns illuminating the river at night and Venice which one my heart at the age of twelve.
Q: What is your next travel destination?
A: I will be going to India and Sri Lanka at the end of this year and have a few interstate trips in Australia planned with Brisbane just a couple of weeks away. I look forward to Sri Lanka as I’ve heard a lot about it and am excited about visiting the Elephant Orphanage there.
Q:What are five essential things you will always pack with you when you travel?
A: Apart from the obvious essentials like clothes and toiletries, I try to pack as light as possible. But regardless of where I’m going, I will usually take basic medication like panadol, strepsils, bandaids and throat lozenges. You will never know when you’re going to get sick. Finding a pharmacy or trying to explain with sign language what you need is tiresome when you’re well but exhausting when you’re ill. Having some simple painkillers, paracetamol and flu medication can make a huge difference. Depending on where I’m going I would also take a torch and spare batteries, camera and multiple USBs, sunscreen, rain poncho and an empty water bottle.
